Montgomery, AL – The Alabama House Democratic Caucus congratulates Rep. Kirk Hatcher (D- Montgomery) for having won a seat in the Alabama State Senate, District 26, in an overwhelming victory on Tuesday.  

According to Alabama House Minority Leader Rep. Anthony Dainels (D- Huntsville), “We would like to congratulate Senator-elect Hatcher on his decisive win last night and know that he will be a valuable asset in the Senate. We look forward to continuing to work with him on important legislation.”

The results of last night’s special election will be officially certified later this month and another special election will take place to fill the vacancy that will be left in House District 78 by Senator-elect Hatcher.
